"I Heart Huckabees" also used 9/11 as a character development device.

does gothamist do any research before writing posts? as a few previous commenters have already noticed, this is NOT the first movie to use 9/11 as a plot device. good job, jen carlson!

re:2

actually debbie i didn't make a comment about the movie. i'm fine with movies dealing with 9-11.. its arguably the most important day in american history that affected everybody in the country. why shouldn't it be dealt with? i think we agree here, sister.

also, there was a movie called "The Guys" that came out in 2002 that used post-9/11 therapy as a plot device... so this is far from the first.

good job resizing the picture as to cover up that gaping hole that was there earlier... gound zero reference? maybe.

Last movie I want to see, right behind "World Trade Center" and "United 93".

We'll let all those curious folks who tour New York and their fist stop is Ground Zero see it...the same ones that bug my kid on line at Disney World about how she felt on that day when they hear she's from New York.

Personally, it disgusts me that they would make money off of this subject. I am very disappointed in Adam Sandler. Thought he was smarter than that.

The first movie to use 9/11 as a plot line besides "United 93" and WTC , would be "A Great New Wonderful".

if all the people that were up in arms about this movie and WTC and United 93 focused their energy on Ground Zero, maybe we wouldn't still have a giant fucking hole in the ground.

When it comes down to it, movies are completely trivial.. I just don't understand how people can stand idly by as the years pass and nothing gets achieved at ground zero. the botched handling of ground zero is exponentially more disrespectful to both the victim's families and americans as a whole than any stupid adam sandler movie.
