EVENT: Bluestockings is a great little place on Allen St, if you haven't already checked it out. Tonight the UnCoolKids tell us this bookstore (and more) is having an event called "Where Have You Been? Conversations on Travel":

”New Yorkers go all over the world, but the city has a way of swallowing their homecomings. At “Where Have You Been,” three intrepids share stories with other travelers as well as those of us who don’t get out much. Interviews by Jeff Stark - gorgeous slideshows tightly edited and mercifully short.”

READING: James Othmer, Will Clarke & Maud Newton wlll be reading their essays from a collection called "When I Was A Loser: True Tales of (Barely) Surviving High School". John McNally's new anthology covers what it's like not to eat at the "cool table".

MUSIC: Jesse Malin, Nicole Atkins & The Sea and The Pierces are at Bowery Ballroom tonight. Nicole just played our SXSW show, and we've been meaning to catch The Pierces, ex-ballerinas with a good pop sensibility, for a while now.

COMEDY: MTV's latest sweethearts, Human Giant (pictured_, will be at Mo Pitkin's tonight for some comedy and a screening of their show (coming out in April). For those who don't know, Human Giant is comprised of Aziz Ansari, Rob Huebel and Paul Scheer. At 11pm they're all over at UCB for Aziz's Crash Test show.
