who are Choire, Emily and Balk and why should we care what they have to say about Bruni's opinion? For that matter, who is Bruni and why should we care about his opinion?
This news item would be much more informative if it had some context and wasn't so insider-y.
I didn't know Flor shuttered. Too bad. There stuff wasn't too bad at pretty reasonable prices.
First & 9th? I used to get my dime bags there.
Has anyone actually tried the food at Birdies? Reviews please!
I recently recommended two friends to Birdies and it disappointed both of them "The Mac & Cheese isn't even passable, and the fried chicken didn't really make believers out of either of us... apparently the joint is more geared towards the veggie-chicken market." These visits took place during lunch and dinner.
With places like Mama's Food Shop serving some awesome fried chicken, Birdies needs to put some more effort in unless they hope the local NYU kids will keep them afloat.
I ate their three times already and thought it was great. I say give them a chance to work through some quarks, I think they've only been open 2 weeks now. People, shouldnt be so quick to judge, they seem to be really good, young people making some serious effort.
