Last Night's Action: Double Downer

New Orleans 92 New York 90: Simply put, this is the type of game you have to win if you want to make the playoffs. The Knicks built an 18-point lead, blew it and then had three chances at the tying basket in the last seconds of the game. They didn’t connect and they fell out of a tie for a playoff spot.

With six of their next seven games against likely playoff teams, the Knicks will have to make a stand if they do not want to see their season slip away. Jim Dolan already rewarded the coach, the question is, will the players live up to his faith?

Atlanta 2 New York 1 (OT): The Rangers left it all on the ice, shooting 39 times but only scoring once in their loss. Sean Avery was the long goal-scorer for New York while Henrik Lundqvist stopped 20 shots.

On the plus side, Toronto and Montreal both lost to keep the playoff race tighter than ever.

Maybe the Knicks wearing their green uninies caused intoxication ! They played like it late in the game .
