Witness Says He Saw Sean Bell Shooting

2007_03_seanbellshooting.jpg

The first day of grand jury deliberations in the Sean Bell shooting case ended without a verdict, but a new witness may have emerged.

A janitor who went to a Queens police station house yesterday claims to have seen police shooting of three unarmed black men - and says he saw a "fourth man. The NYPD had always claimed there was a fourth person with a gun that made Bell and his friends "targets" of the police. Detectives' Endowment Association president Michael Palladino said that the witness allegedly saw a black man carrying a gun near the scene; the man also reportedly fired at the police.

Apparently the police had spoken to the witness after the shooting, but he claimed he saw nothing. The man's lawyer said the witness was too scared to come forward earlier; he told cops his "Christian conscience" told him to come forward. One question we have - and we're sure the Queens DA and NYPD are looking at this - were any shell casings from guns not belonging to the police found at the scene? The Queens DA's office said, "We are aware of the alleged eyewitness and have no comment at this time." Palladino said Queens DA Richard Brown "is reluctant to put him before the grand jury, and I just find that totally unacceptable. It defies logic." The NYPD did not comment either.

The Reverend Al Sharpton held a press conference yesterday to question the witness's credibility. Bell's fiancee Nicole Paultre-Bell and his friend, Joseph Guzman, who was wounded in the gunfire, were present. Sharpton said, "The whole process is suspect to me. We'll just see."

The grand jury will deliberate today; a verdict could come today or in the next few days.

Maybe Al Sharpton should shut his yap and let the courts decide if this guy is credible. He's obviously not the best judge of carachter out there. *COUGHtawanabrawleyCOUGH*

all balistic evidence was attributed to the police officers fired weapons. no casings, bullets or other evidence has been found that indicates there were other shots fired by the so called "fourth man".

my question is whether the new witness is a legal resident of the united states. reports say that he is spanish speaking.

smells fishy.

If the guy used a revolver there wouldn't be any cases though, right?

Unless he was shooting lazers.

Pewpew.

A witness this late in the process seems suspect and fishy.
Why not come forward at the time of the shooting?

Al Sharpton needs to butt out.
Has anyone elected that clown for anything?

All the info regarding this new witness is coming from the Detectives endowment union. This witness supposedly went to the pct just one day ago.
Hopefully the grand jury will see through this spin and ruse.
Palladino knows too much about this witness, something stinks to high heaven.

He's been elected Assclown of the Year a few times, yeah.

Grand jury deliberations never end in verdicts. They end in indictments.

You keep on keeping on, Reverend Al Sharpton.
Al Sharpton to the rescue.
whiteys panties are still bunched up because of you. Panty stocks are up.

What ever happened to the Al Sharpton sit-com or is this it?

Al Sharpton needs to butt out.
Has anyone elected that clown for anything?

He represents the Bell family. They called him; they elected him. Period.

And it smells fishy.

Um, two cops get shot and killed last night and people are upset that other cops shot at 4 men who said they were going to get a gun from their car? Those idiots on stage need to sit down and stfu.

They would have brought him forward earlier, but rehearsals didn't go well.

Reverend is another title for an egotistic businessman.

You know what smells fishy?

Mott street. Mott street smells fishy.

Yeah.

...shut up and go back to your Nazi/KKK paraphenalia.

They needed to find a witness who doesn't have a Cop accent. It takes time to speaka Spanish.
This must be one of the longest Grand Jury deliberations ever. Most come back true bill in less than a minute.
You do what you gotta do, Reverend Al.
YOU DA MAN!

if he had a revolver, was he only shooting in the air? as hard as the police was TRYING to prove this claim, you'd think they would have found where those shots were fired.

no physical evidence = a preponderance of bullshit.

When shit goes down and you're around, pay attention and CYA.

Write down everything you can remember ASAP, sign it, and date it. Who, what, where, when, why, and how. Diagrams. Everything that comes to mind - right down to your underwear color.

It's absolutely invaluable if it's needed and excellent writing practice if it isn't.

#21 - If he fired into the air, the bullets could be anywhere. Are you Superman? Do you have x-ray vision? Perhaps the NYPD could use someone with talents like yours.

#23

what are the chances that said "fourth man" would fire into the air and not at the officers in question? it's not as though they were in an open field - those alleged bullets would have been embedded somewhere; a wall, a car, a post, garbage can, through a window....you get my point?

there's no "fourth man", just a scared little man trying to help the police cover their asses.

maybe he was blind or short sighted

or using a lazer gun

Lazer gun. Ha. Pewpew.

The fourth man was Boba Fett.

Al Sharpton is the guy you call in if you need to make a sizzling Krakatoa out of a golf divot. In other words, people only bring him into the issue if they want to distort the truth beyond recognition, and create a spectacular media circus. He's not so much an advocate or spokesman as he is a carnival barker.

His public declaration of suspicion is nothing less than low-class character assassination, if not intentional incitement of civil unrest. If he's actually hoping to PREVENT riots and violence, like he says, then he couldn't be choosing a worse approach. I'm not belittling the Bell family in their time of grief and loss, but they could have chosen a far more honorable and less facetious ally.

Sadly, despite evidence etc, I think there will be indictments handed down to all the police officers involved—revenge for the 1999 Amadou Diallo shooting.

Here's the deal. When a cop tells you to freeze, do it! Stop this "I'm black being persecuted" bullshit and freeze your position. Fight the facts and charges of racism in a court of law at a later date, or do what all Americans do, sue... at least you'll be alive and maybe you'll net some bank rolls.

Also, the lines about evidence (inluding what is and what isn't) are negated in this thread. none of us here know all the evidence or witness accounts. we'd like to, but that's just not enough to spew evidence support theories—general opinions are more respected than saying "you" know the evidence.

The Rev. Al Sharpton, who has acted as a spokesman for Bell’s family, said: “There are always in these kinds of cases very questionable last-minute occurrences and tactics.”

Very questionable indeed.... Tawana Brawley!

Oh for chrissakes,
just get off Al's jock, you crazy obsessed white people.
The real Axis of evil, US/England/Israel.

Did you notice the killer of those two New Yorkers were WHITE? Where are the white leaders condemning what this animal did?
In fact, where is the entire NYC council on this? Where are the WHITE assemblyman of Staten Island, Bay Ridge, Bensonhurst, UES, UWS, Riverdale?
Where are they? You mean they are OK with what happened?

Maybe you should put that tinfoil hat back on, because it seems to me that big pyramid in the sky is still beaming those pink lights into your brain.

btw the Fourth Man is...

ELIJAH SNOW

Hey, ching, you're not funny.
and, again, you're not too bright. ching.

The whole point is that 50 shots were fired. All the people who carry racism in their hearts will be judged on that day. da laws probably paid this 'witness' or bribed him. I dont see how any human being wouldnt feel bad for what happened, whether white or black victims. WRONG IS WRONG!!!!!!!!!!

So what if 50 rounds were fired? You shoot to end the threat, not to make him feel bad about himself.

da laws probably paid this 'witness' or bribed him.

And your insight came none other than Ms Cleo!

All I want to say is that the black community should be appalled that a race baiting publicity hound has chosen to be the spokesperson for this sad tragedy. I also want to say that it sickens me to hear Sharpton talk about protecting the children. Children? How about the fact that NO one has placed any blame on a community that stands by and says nothing as criminals run their streets? It is horrible what happened but lets look at the facts...........These men were not out having dinner after a long day's work before heading home. These men were not in a "nice" part of town and stopped for no reason. They were in a seedy part of town where Vice Squad was on patrol due to criminal elements, hookers and drugs. These men were in a strip club where they were witnessed getting into an altercation and one of them mentioned getting a gun. When officers approached the car the driver tried to take off, rammed a police van twice and struck an officer with the car. Police officers fearing for their life fired in response to the driver's actions and non compliance with the law. I saw Joseph Guzman at a nightclub a few weeks ago with his entourage and they were a pathetic and motely bunch of wannabe criminals. I would think that Mr. Guzman would want to be home recovering but instead he is out hanging at a club with a reputation for party's where shootings and stabbings occur frequently. Does this then speak of the character and circle of friends that Mr. Guzman keeps? He seems to have put himself right bacck into the same element that got him almost killed just months ago..............

I’m totally appalled by this new witness B.S., the night the story air the media stated the car was pin in, so this forth person must have shot at the officers then dodged the bullets that they (the police) were firing. Not only did he dodge the bullets he vanished into thin air, where no police chased after him. Give a break does that make any logic sense.
For the individual who comment was “Here's the deal. When a cop tells you to freeze, do it! Stop this "I'm black being persecuted" bullshit and freeze your position. Fight the facts and charges of racism in a court of law at a later date, or do what all Americans do, sue... at least you'll be alive and maybe you'll net some bank rolls.” Please tell how many times you’ve stopped for a plane clothes officer who didn’t display his/her badge. These individual went out to have a good time, and this being 2007 you can go anywhere you feel like, this event could have happened at SCORES, so don’t try and turn the tables about where they were, what time it was.
And these individuals were not the only people at this strip club, therefore any one could yelled I’m going to get a gun. With that being the case why didn’t the officer present his badge and question that individual who stated they were going to get a gun.

50 shots - The cops shot Bell 50 times. They shot that guy in the village 50 times. With semi-automatic handguns, that's how many times you're going to get shot if you get into an altercation with police. So 50 shots means nothing.

Everyone is falling all over themselves over the auxillary police shooting and it is truly a tragedy.

Bell is not completely innocent because he put himself in this location - late night, shady strip club, etc. If you don't want trouble, don't go to places where it's easily found.

I think police work is a dangerous job - one that I'm not willing to do for any salary - and I'm not going to sit around like an armchair quarterback and say the cops should have known better and should have behaved differently.

But I will say that if I were a cop, I'd rather be indicted than shot in the head. I'll bet you would be too, so consider that before you all get on your high horse.

"Better to be judged by twelve, than to be carried by six."

your all cops on this site no wonder, it's so crazy.

my friends got their site shut down for using a photo of one of sean bell's killers 31 shot mike
