Last Night's Action: Knicks Miss Lee

2006_11_sknickslogo.jpg

  • Raptors 104, Knicks 94: Losing to the Raptors while T.J. Ford and Chris Bosh run wild isn't that bad. But the Knicks did that while making the frontcourt of Jorge Garbajosa and Andrea Bargnani look like twin towers north of the border on Wednesday. Their ability to defend the two foreign big men no doubt would have been helped if David Lee, out three to four weeks with an ankle injury, had been on the court. Isiah Thomas got a vote of confidence from the Garden management, but this won't be the last time his team craves Lee.

  • Penguins 3, Devils 0: Normally the Devils do the shutting out, but not Wednesday. This game means little, but New Jersey did lose a chance to tie Buffalo for the best record in the conference. Then again, how much does that mean? Home ice doesn't seem to play that large a role in the NHL playoffs.
