maybe you're taking a so-called witness statement for granted. If he was a solid witness no deal would have ever been offered. I happen to know parties involved abd the medias version is complete BS, these 4 asian kids are scum

Yes, it was the whites that got jumped by 4 Asians evne though this white guy was overheard saying "You gooks stay out of our neighborhood." I love how whites are now making it seem like their the downtrodden ones. It's not that whites are angry at other minorities claiming oppression for selfish gain, they're angry because they can't play oppression Olympics like everyone else. "Tim" is proof of that. They just can't accept the fact that maybe, just maybe, whites haven't changed much when it comes to racial tolerance.

Does it occur to anybody else that this kid struck a plea deal. He only admitted guilt to avoid 15 yrs. The initial story is 4 on 2 and the 4 asians had a weapon. C'mon this story is a complete farce and its appaling to see anyone land in jail for defending themselves. The media has a way of twisting a story around to make papers sell and sadly too many of you are falling for this. These asian kids deserve to be punished for attempting to jump 2 whites.

Well before you all convict the guy for his sins . Think about what the real story here is . Read what he said to the councilmen, "Stay out of our neighborhood" . What was the motive behind the comments? I'm not condoning what they did . It's appalling at best, Just look at what this person said and think about it . Sadly their are people in this world that can't seem to live at peace within themselves so they lash out at other's in an attempt to validate self worthiness .

why would a white person hate on asians? it's not like asians are walking around the streets looting, loitering, dealing drugs,and raping people. I would love to have asians in my neighborhood.

ONLY 3 1/2 years? Some criminal justice system...where violent, racially motivated crimes don't even get 5 years, but many 'victimless' crimes (IE NON-violent) can send folks away for well over a decade. Need to get those priorities in order and focus those harsh penalties on bastards like this fellow.
