perhaps most importantly, and not mentioned here, is the environmental-friendliness of muji products! that's something we should all be willing to pay a little extra for.

why the hell would you go to an overpriced boutique in west village or soho, if you can buy cool-looking, actually useful, INEXPENSIVE things at muji.

The funny part is how coomonly available MUJI stuff is in Japan. Everything from MUJI toilet paper to pens to underwear, all available at the local convenie corner store. Better prices too. Funny. But I'm happy it's coming here and not just available through MoMA.

I'm not trying to be super cool or anything, but it's a store. A friggin' store that, while fine, sells upscale versions of the same stuff that you can buy anyplace else. Get away from your consumer sheep mentality.

Muji's OK. It's been in London for ages. There's really nothing special in there that you probably can't find in any number of other over-priced boutiques in the West Village, SoHo, etc., etc.

Yay MUJI! I always pop in there when I'm in Paris and buy a few things, and constantly wondered why they hadn't opened a store yet in NYC. Great location, too! (A block away from my office..)
