This morning we woke up to an email saying: "Sufjan played at Union Hall tonight. Pretty cool."

According to their calendar "MARLA HANSEN (of My Brightest Diamond) + WOOLLY LEAVES + TIM FITE" played last night, so we're guessing he came to perform with Marla Hansen, as My Brightest Diamond is also on the Asthmatic Kitty label. He recently reviewed a MBD show at Tonic (however last night, the main MBD crew was in London for a show.) Union Hall is probably one of the better places to catch a surprise act like this, it's intimate, cozy and pretty mellow.

Last time we caught Sufjan was at Bowery in 2005. Was anyone at Union Hall last night?
