Exploit: a bold or daring feat. Scoob and the others are often involved in exciting 'toon adventures. The DA was perfectly correct in his usage.

"...... have individuals of unknown backgrounds dressed in cheap-looking costumes in close proximity to young children is particularly troublesome"

Wehereas paying more money to overbloated corporations who've milked these copyrights to death and then hanging round kids is A-OK.

Will someone think of the chiiiiiildren.

Whee, another day, another thing about furries.

Furry fans are not all fursuiters. Fursuits are a subgroup of furry fans, most of whom just like the art, stories, characters etc. Some of it is sexual and a lot isn't. And some people have furry identities/characters that they use as nicks on various online fora, but it's not a lifestyle and they don't "really think they are foxes" or whatever. It's a cute RP concept, nothing more.

And real fursuiters don't use licensed character fursuits, which are ugly. They build their own fursuits based on their own characters. They cost a lot of money and time. They are generally used for entertainment purposes, not as sexual aids. A real furry porn film would be animated or CGI, not live action with crappy off the rack fursuits.

Still, this is funny as hell. :)

Just clearing up a few facts. Yeah, I'm a furry. I also have a well paying job and a 9 year relationship. Watch out, because furries are everywhere. We maintain your system networks and work at your helpdesks. We program your stock trades and pull your lattes. Furry fandom is home to some of the smartest and most creative people I've ever met. And yes, we're generally, gleefully perverse. :)

I've seen this before also by the South Street Seaport. There is a man that is dressed as Spongebob Square Pants and charges for photos. The costume is really ugly and filthy.

A crackdown of this sort is really needed in Hollywood. There's been quite a problem with people dressed up in (no doubt counterfeit) character costumes in the main tourist areas and charging money to pose with people for photos. What creates the problem is the fact that many of the "characters" become angry and even threatening if people decline to participate.
