Last Night's Action: Knicks Don't Feel The Heat

  • New York 99 Miami 93: Trying to figure out the Knicks will drive you insane. Off of a terrible loss against the Nets, the Knicks played a decent basketball game against a better team and won. They took care of the basketball, only 10 turnovers and had three scorers with 20 or more points.

Eddy Curry had a very nice offensive game, going 9-17 from the field and adding 11 boards. He still doesn’t play any defense and you have to suspect that a healthy Shaq would have done more damage than 20 points, but a win is a win and this one was a big one.

  • Zednik to the Islanders: The trade deadline is today at 3pm, but the Islanders have upgraded their offense already. On Monday they acquired Richard Zednik from Washington for a second-round draft pick. Zednik should be a nice fit, if he can stay healthy.
  • Injuries everywhere in Yankees’ camp: Carl Pavano has only a bone bruise while Brian Bruney and Humberto Sanchez have some arm problems, but the biggie is Bobby Abreu. Abreu has a strained oblique, which should sideline him for 2-3 weeks at minimum.

This is the opportunity that Bernie Williams wanted, but he never came to camp and Brian Cashman said, "That's not an option we're looking at,” when asked about specifically about Bernie.

It was a great game. The fans went ape-shit after Crawford's 3 pointer.
