I also think that when those in power get around to banning words, That means that they have way to much time on their hands . By the way the term "Nigger" means (Loose verison of the definition) : A person of lesser being, One of low intellect, Socially bland .

Well, finally there is some move to ban this remnant of slavery. I fully support that ban, I overstand the infringement on free speech but hate speech should always be banned. And stop with the BS, africans the world over are still suffering from 500yrs of inhumane treatment. As a matter fact I gonna take ur newborn and not teach him/her english and enslave his offsprings for 500yrs. then I'll release him/her into a society that will not hire u, unless u work for free eventhough he/she is no longer a slave. 1965-2007 is not even 50yrs yet...SO PhcUK/US all of u...

Don't forget the C-word (for the ladies). That generally goes over as well as the N-word. I think the City Council really should be concentrating on more important things, like banning anger, hatred and war. Symbolically, of course.

I'd like to ban "what-evah" myself. As in "they're banning words? What-evah." Should we also ban: spick mick gook kyke guinea polack kraut ? I've heard people use the PC terms ("African-American," "Hispanic" "Irish-American" etc.) with as much hatred and venom lined up behind it as any so-called slur. It's not the syllables, people, it's the speaker. If we weren't the most frightened nation on earth we might drop our guard long enough to see that basic truth.

Like the House and the Senate, it amazes me that the City Council has nothing better to do than to pass these meaningless resolutions. I suppose it's easier to tackle these non-issues than it is to actually do something meaningful like address health care costs or affordable housing.
