That wasn't much of a storm now was it? A couple of inches of sloppy snow and it's out of here. While the storm is moves up the New England coast we will see a few residual flurries and freezing drizzle as counterclockwise winds wrap around the center of low pressure. The greatest chance of precipitation will be later this afternoon into the evening, when up to an inch more snow is possible.
The average temperature this February has been about seven degrees below normal. Starting tomorrow we will be returning to more seasonable temperatures, highs in the mid-40s, lows around freezing, for at least a week or more. AccuWeather's extended forecast is calling for temperatures in the 50s next week. Maybe the daffodils that didn't bloom in January will start poking their heads above ground.
Before then, the chance of snow lingers through tomorrow. Wednesday looks to be the driest day of the week. March gets off to a wet start as rain is expected from Thursday through the weekend.
