Who wants to go to Atlantic City? We need faster and/or cheaper trains to Boston. Philly, and DC.
Unfortunatly, Boston, Philly, and DC do not have casinos footing much of the bill.
Route the Boston run over the Pequots land and get them to chip in! I see what you're saying but this is a classic example of the privat sector getting whatever it wants. If casinos are truly a tax on the poor and stupid then we need to tax the casinos higher. At least oil companies create a tangible product and jobs that pay more than minimum wage and we want to super-tax oil companies.

Uh, yeah... because they pay for it.
The northeast corridor not being used to fund useless pork-routes to nowhere across the country, and competent management at Amtrak, would go a long way to cheaper trains.
