February 21: Mediterranean Feast by Anissa Helou at Dévi
London-based Mediterranean food authority and cookbook author Anissa Helou has created a five-course Mediterranean Feast, hosted at Dévi by Chef Suvir Saran. Anissa grew up in Lebanon and Syria, lives in London and has a profound knowledge of the food and cultures of the Mediterranean and the Middle East. Suvir, who grew up in India and lives in New York, has been greatly influenced by these cuisines. They both love to create recipes, entertain, teach and introduce ethnic home cooking made with exotic spice combinations to home cooks. So, they decided to collaborate on a special dinner that Anissa will prepare with Dévi’s chefs when she visits New York City. $75 per person; includes an autographed, soft-cover copy of Anissa Helou’s Mediterranean Street Food, tax and gratuity not included. $100 with wine pairings from Castello Banfi.
