I go to Cobblestone all of the time and I love it! I also had a party catered by Cobblestone for 80 people and they did a fantastic job...I am throwing another one that they are doing in a few weeks. The service can't be beat!

If you're looking for delicious prepared foods in the 'hood, you could try Cafe Nova on Court and Warren, which is owned by the French guy who owns the Red deli by Cobble Hill Park. There is a prepared foods salad bar; yes it is pricy but that guy can cook.

I'm really surprised there isn't yet a prepared gourmet food store in the neighborhood.

I guess to some extent this store is doing that and even the place on smith st across from bar tabac but you'd think someone would create a takeaway place where you could have fresh made to go dishes that you just heat up. who has time to cook (gourmet) on a regular basis anyway.
There's also something to be said for self service, not everyone likes to get into a conversation and get tips everytime they pick up food.
word.

I just can't warrant spending that kind of money when I can go to Sahadi's and get some nice cheeses for like 1/2 price. I do like this shop but really don't go there too often..

Cobblestone Foods is great. Stinky is a distance second. I buy food here all the time and it's amazing.

I always pull for little boutiques like this, and shop there if I venture over that way (I'm on the east side of Smith). But the 'local product' angle is already covered by Stinky for me.
