Tidbits: Valentine's Day Restaurant Roundup Edition

candyheart1.jpgReally, you if you're considering going out for dinner on Valentine's Day, you probably should have made your reservations by now. If you haven't, here's a roundup of Valentine's Day roundups -- you should be able to find a place to woo your sweetheart over a prix fixe dinner.

  • Citysearch has a list of restaurants offering Valentine's Day specials including a four course meal at The Little Owl for $80 or at Aroma for $130.

  • Time Out New York suggests "the new romantics," recently opened spots like Zenkichi (where the waitstaff won't interrupt you until you summon them with the touch of a button) and Goblin Market, an intimate 28 seats.

  • New York Mag gives their recommendations for places to go to avoid having "a soul-crushing Valentine's Day," including the ultra-romantic Monday Room for unique wines and small plates or Sumile Sushi, for a taste of Josh DeChellis' Japanese artistry.

  • The Food Section highlights a few more special Vday menus, including a three course dinner at Flatbush Farm for $65 and a three course dinner at A Voce for $72.

  • If you haven't gotten enough ideas from the roundups above, get thee to Open Table for some more ideas or a reservation, or pick up a heart-shaped truffle pizza at Cronkite Pizzeria and Wine Bar, a bottle of wine, and head to your Valentine's apartment for a special dinner for two.
