2007_02_arts_oscar.jpgEVENT: The Academy presents Meet the Oscars. On top of learning fun facts about Oscar, you'll get to see the little gold guy (and tons of tourists) up close and personal, as the statuettes are on display in Times Square. We suggest you bring a fake acceptance speech with you.

THEATER: Kathleen Chalfant (Wit, Angels in America), Marian Seldes (A Delicate Balance, Three Tall Women), and Kate Mulgrew (Star Trek: Voyager’s Capt. Janeway) join forces tonight for The Shakespeare Society’s History Girls. The show will feature these powerhouse actors’ take on three female roles from Shakespeare’s history plays: Constance from King John, Elizabeth from Richard III and Margaret from Henry VI, Part 3 and Richard III. They’ll be assisted by Christopher Evan Welch, Joe Plummer and Professor Dympna Callaghan of Syracuse University. Tonight only! - John Del Signore

BINGO: It's Edge Theater's annual Celebrity Bingo Benefit night! Celebrity callers include Patricia Clarkson and Will Forte and prizes are being donated by HBO, MoMA and more, with all proceeds going towards upcoming Edge Theater productions.

8pm // Epiphany Church [2nd Ave at 22nd St] // $50

MUSIC: Union Pool has Ida, The Naysayer, Cynthia Nelson and Luxton Lake over tonight for a full evening of music. Ida used to be a duo comprised of Lisa Loeb's music partner and a punk rock guy (according to OMR), but have since filled the band out with two more members.
