Noteworthy Television This Week: British Looks Best

A look at some noteworthy television this week:
Color BarsThe 49th Annual Grammy Awards (Sunday, 8:00 p.m. WCBS 2) The reunion of The Police will most likely be the highlight of the night. As for the rest of the show. . .

2006 BAFTA Awards (Sunday, 8:00 p.m. BBC America) If you want to watch a better awards show tonight, we suggest British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards.

Masterpiece Theatre: Dracula (Sunday, 9:00 p.m. WNET 13) Yet another adaptation of the Dracula tale this time focusing on sex and syphilis in Victorian England.

Law & Order: Criminal Intent (Tuesday, 9:00 p.m. WNBC 4) A shooting of a rapper at a radio station most likely not unlike Hot 97.

Frontline News War: Secrets, Sources & Spin (Tuesday, 9:00 p.m. WNET 13) The relationship between the Bush administration and the press is looked into. Part two airs next Tuesday at the same time.

Jericho: Return to Jericho (Wednesday, 8:00 p.m. WCBS 2) A recap of the previous eleven episodes is presented here for those who wish to catch up with the show.

Nixon: A Presidency Revealed (Thursday, 8:00 p.m. The History Channel) Filmmaker David Taylor, who has produced biographies of several other 20th century presidents for the channel takes a look at the controversial 37th president.

Real Time With Bill Maher (Friday, 11:00 p.m. HBO) This show starts up its 5th season with more of Maher’s unique viewpoint.

The State Within (Saturday, 9:00 p.m. BBC America) The first part of this BBC miniseries where an incident with an aircraft sparks tension between the UK and US. Expect some parallels with the Bush administration of this thriller. The rest of the series episodes air February 18th and 24th at 9 p.m.

God knows why I clicked on the Grammys link in your television section but just fyi: you've got a link to the 2004 grammys (46th instead of 49th)

you also forgot to mention that you can watch me save the country for 2 hours tonight.

I love watching the BAFTAS... well, I did until I moved to the Bronx and got stinky Cablevision. They don't have BBC America. So sad. I waited so long to get BBC America when I had Time Warner... now.. :(
