Last Night's Action: The Nets Didn't Lose!

2006_11_snetslogo.jpg

  • Nets 87 Hawks 85: Finally New Jersey didn’t blow the game. Yes, it was against the Hawks, but this was a big win. It took a Vince Carter layup and rebound to seal the deal, part of his 22-point effort. Jason Kidd had 9 assists, 9 points and 7 rebounds and the Nets “improved” to 23-27, still 3 ½ behind the Raptors.
  • Islanders 2 Flyers 0: Philadelphia showed again why they are going nowhere this season and Rick DiPietro had a solid night in the pipes. Kozlov and Satan scored the goals and the win keeps the Islanders in the hunt for the last playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
  • St. Johns 66 USF 62: Leave it to the Red Storm to make this interesting. After dominating the first half with a 40-19 lead, St. John’s almost collapsed before holding on for the win. The victory was crucial as it keeps the Red Storm in the hunt for a Big East Tournament berth.
