Your wrong "Patrick" there are safe neighborhoods in NY . A couple are (for the most part) are Fort Greene, Brooklyn Heights, Dyker Heights, Clinton Hill,ETC . Yeah cause they got that big ole gate ! Not to mention the full time security . Oh, Almost forgot they have the benfit of police protection there . Cops love safe havens

If you think that this 1.5 billion dollar investment isn't going to change things then you are crazy. Coney has been slowing changing over the last 20 years. Just look at it in 1987 and look at it now. This investment will change things, regardless of who lives in the area and crime in Coney. There is no safe neighborhood in NYC. Except maybe Seagate!

That's the W.8 St. station you jackass ! Who the hell said anything about a aprticular exit ? "Pap(smur)smurf" Yes there is a crime wave going through Parkslope "Sockmobbit", Read the papers . If you were in there position and a bunch of money came into your midst wouldsn't you want some ? I believe the Gothamist had a story about this a couple of weeks ago . Listen to "Orlando" seems to know what going on over there . you can't going out to the beach to chill without taking the chance of someone trying to jerk you . The cops aren't interested in stopping the crime out in most of Coney Island . As far as my terming "New Money ", It goes as followed : If you are either from a higher tax bracket, or Your just "well off" & you move into a neighborhood full of lower income folk . You are infusing the area with your money ! That being "New Money", The more "New Money" moving into a poor neighborhood the more changes it will envoke . That's all I meant

Let me take a step back & reminise for a moment....... Ok, Whatever is built out in Coney Island will never be acceptable . We're not talking about a ballpark here . That was to the benefit of the neighborhood . This project will wipeout the lower class, & change the makeup of the surrounding area . It's not going to work, Just think you have the project a few blocks away . That in itself is already causing problems for the yuppies moving into the area . I was on my way home from visiting friends out their & saw these people getting robbed right in front of the W.8 st. station . That's a regular occurrance for which will increase with the flush of "New" money funneling into the area . It's exactly what's happening in Parkslope now .
