- It's strange that in this arctic weather that the best food news we've heard today is that NYC Icy is returning. NYC Nosh snapped a photo of this sign in Hell's Kitchen. Bring on the summer!
- Midtown Lunch shares the news that you can now find chicken and waffles in Midtown.
- And speaking of fried chicken, we're now seriously craving some of the Korean fried chicken featured in today's Times.
- Michael Harlan Turkell, the photographer behind the Back of the House Project, has started a photo blog. He's calling it a "plog." Is this normal?
- Thanks to Gothamist Contribute, we learned about The City Cook, a new site that bills itself as the "ultimate guide for pathetically busy, space-compromised urban dwellers who prefer to cook at home." It's filled with shopping tips, recipes, and more. Given this weather, we're pretty happy to cook instead of going out.
- And someone must tell us how to score an invite to The Spotted Pig's holiday party next year. If it's crazy enough to be reported in the Times and Grub Street, we want in.
Got some tidbits for us? Send them our way!

I lived in the deep south for 3 years and ate a boatload of buttermilk soaked, fried-in-a-cast-oven pan-southern-chicken, but it pales in comparison to Korean fried chicken.
Seriously, Korean fried chicken is out of this world.

is that a cross between artsy and arctic?

Mr. Turkell should call it a "phlog".
nyc icy is tasty, but that's a long way to go for deliciousness.
Yay, NYC ICY will be closer to me!
Also, Julia Moskin has the best job - and I want to go to Unidentified Flying Chickens.
Bon Chon chicken is NOT worth the price or the wait. Half an hour and $20 for 10 small pieces! The south would be outraged. I'm all for Pollo Campero in Corona, many Korean bars serve chicken, which admittedly isnt as good.
