THEATER: The New Group’s revival of Wallace Shawn’s The Fever officially opens tonight. The play revolves around an unnamed narrator who falls ill in a war-torn country; caught in the grip of his feverish visions he becomes vividly aware of his complicity in the suffering around him. This production of The Fever (which has been made into a film starring Vanessa Redgrave and Angelina Jolie) is being performed by the playwright himself, who originally presented the play in 1990 for intimate audiences in New York City apartments.
