Way to Overreact

Police approached 16 or 17 year old Trace Boyd near his school because he matched the description of a robbery suspect. Boyd happened to be sitting across the street from his school, Boys and Girls High on Fulton Street.

But when the cops asked him what he was doing, it got crazy. Boyd ended up attacking a cop, throwing him to the ground, grabbing his gun, and firing. No one was hit during the incident, but Boyd was charged with attempted murder, assault, robbery and criminal possession of a weapon.

A police source told the Daily News, "It doesn't look like he was involved in this robbery at all." While you can say what you want about police questioning, it seems like Boyd would have been better off if he went to school that day.

Way to Overreact: "Boyd was charged with attempted murder, assault, robbery and criminal possession of a weapon"

  • blah

    Key words: "officials said."

Of course, the cops could've beaten him and faked this. But our police are all honest to a tee and never collude to hide such unimaginable violations.

  • In any case, It sounds like the cops showed restraint.

He gets into a struggle with Cops, Grabs and shoots a gun and lives to talk about it? That's restraint on the Cops side...

I encourage black people to do more dubious things so they can play the "race card" and file a discrimination lawsuit when they get shot.
