<description>&lt;p&gt;While one should never pass up some New Order, I have to say the idea that today is any more or less depressing that any other day is total bullshit.

This &quot;most depressing day&quot; nonsense began a couple of years ago as a PR campaign for a British travel agency.  Arnall did not use any math to figure out the depressing day.  The travel agency asked him to justify the 4th Monday in January as a day to encourage Brits to make travel plans.  Arnall whored himself out and said sure, here&apos;s my magical formula.  Nevermind that the math makes no sense, the totally non-skeptical media took him at his word because it sounds so good and dutifully reported it as fact.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
