BPL is tough for NYC. ConEd does have at least one test building wired up for it on the UWS. BPL doesn't like complicated electrical interconnections, such as are found in apartment buildings. It's better suited for suburbia. It's not that it's impossible in NYC, but the greater expense per connected unit makes the economics trickier.
