Pencil This In

SIGNING: If there is one person we could think of that doesn't need an autobiography...it might as well be Rupert Everett. Yet, he'll be signing his new book "Red Carpets and Other Banana Skins: The Autobiography" tonight. He wasn't just in "My Best Friends Wedding", he was also friends with Warhol and has been to easter egg hunts in Elizabeth Taylor's garden. Fabulous.

7pm // Barnes & Noble [33 E 17th St] // Free

SHOP: One of our favorite sneaker shops, Classic Kicks, kicks off their sale today. If it's good enough for Will Ferrell, it's good enough for us - and he's championed this store since it first opened. The sale runs through January 20th.

11am to 7pm // Classic Kicks [298 Elizabeth St]

THEATER: Christopher Durang's delirious 1977 satire, The Vietnamization of New Jersey, is being revived by the Alchemy Theatre Company. “What's a patriotic mother to do when her beloved son returns from Vietnam sooooooooo bummed out? In Piscataway, New Jersey, Ozzie Ann and Harry await the return of their Vietnam veteran son, David, and his native bride, Liat. Also on hand are younger brother Et, a sex-obsessed high school junior who eats corn flakes from his unzipped pants; and Hazel, the (transvestite) black maid who is the real power in the household.” Fasten your seatbelts for “suicide, adultery, the feeble intervention of a homosexual priest, and the arrival of a super-patriotic war-mongering uncle – plus a staccato of outrageous comments by the cynical Hazel.” The Times declares it "bracingly entertaining."

8pm // The Beckett @ Theatre Row [410 West 42nd Street] // Tickets cost $25

MUSIC: We've made our love for The Epochs pretty clear here. They're celebrating their cd release tonight with a show at Mercury Lounge. So swing on by. Check out a video of their live show below:

You could see something just that (but in color) tonight! Live!

10:30pm // Mercury Lounge [217 East Houston St] // $10
