James Brown Update

Over two weeks after his death, James Brown's body has still not been buried. His attorneys and children are settling issues surrounding his estate, including where he will be laid to rest.

From NME: "Brown's lawyer Buddy Dallas said that the late singer's will has yet to be filed. He added that trustees for his will, along with Brown's children, will determine the burial site."

Currently Brown's body is lying in a sealed casket at his home on Beech Island, South Carolina. The home was locked up after the singer's death, in fear that items would be stolen. Even his wife (though possibly not legal wife) Tomi Rae Hynie was locked out. She recently told ET that she never signed a pre-nup, "but that Brown made a financial promise to her: "He said, 'My wife is to get 17 percent of my estate, everything in the house belongs to her and my son, so they can sell it if they need to take care of themselves.'"

Watch the full video of her appearance on ET here, and check out the preview below (via Stereogum):

Tomi Rae also spoke at the viewing of James Brown at the Apollo.

She looks like Marlon Wayan's character from "White Chicks"

Zzzzzzzz. no one cares.
This is just another Ana Nicole story about crazy rich people who have no dignity, class or respect when it comes to death.

Holy shit. I'm almost speechless, not quite, because I'm writing this, but it's not going to say anything. Everything I want to say I'll get yelled out for.

But, wow. Just, wow.

Did God tell the Globe she was crazy? Did God say that?

For the record: THE BITCH IS TOTALLY BONKERS !

Hope that lays to rest the whole issue.

Still not in the ground? Gross! I really don't understand you Goyim...

James Brown was an extremely astute and successful businessman who once owned a string of radio stations and restaurants, and certainly was never beholden to record companies or music publishing companies other than his own.

Trust me -- if he had wanted her to have XYZ, he would have made the necessary arrangements. His lawyers are simply carrying out his wishes.

Unfortunately, even control freaks like Brown are often in denial about death, and sometimes neglect to make the obvious arrangements for burial and whatnot.
