My boyfriend won't even use the steam room or sauna at our gym anymore because he has walked in on inappropriate activity too many times. Now that sounds like a healthy, balance-of-power relationship you got going on there.

Basically, it seems like the solution is this: if you're gonna pull one out in the sauna, make sure you throw your towel in the hamper. Not that I'd know...

Well clearly you're not taking your workouts seriously enough. When I'm in the middle of a hard set of squats or deadlifts, there could be a dozen naked supermodels in the gym but I'm so focused on my own stuff I won't even notice. You know how I know you're gay? just kidding

hmmm. let's see you go to the gym and get your blood flowing by working up a sweat and out of the corner of your eye you see the yoga class with hot women with huge bodunkadunk butts in the downward dog position and then the splaying lotus and you wonder why men don't jerk off more often. I know for a fact at Chelsea Piers they removed the lounge couches in the mens locker room b/c of all the sexual hijinx that was taking place on them---regardless of time or day.

I'm with you, Milhow. We all sign on for certain responsibilities in our jobs, not every conceivable responsibility. Love how the Equinox COO said that this kind of thing doesn't only happen at Equinox - as if that's some sort of defense!

Whether or not you trust the integrity of the Post, it is indisputable that the men's locker rooms at all the local gyms are disgusting sanctuaries for inappropriate behavior. The management at NYSC, Equinox, and Crunch all turn a blind eye to it in fear of alienating a large portion of their memberships. The locker rooms are still public spaces - it is inconsiderate and absolutely unhygienic(sp?). The funniest part of it is that most of the guys swapping jiz with one another are closeted married guys.

This is a real problem at some gyms. For some reason, a certain type of man can't keep jerking off at home (or in other designated jerk off areas). Why they can't control themselves is something I will never understand but the fact that they can't really sickens me. I have heard stories from some of my guy friends about certain gyms. There some locations that some men won't go to for this very reason. New York Post or not, it's very much a real problem. Used tampons and maxipads are one thing, that has grossed me out before in some of the women's locker room, but semen? I don't know how you guys put up with this type of behavior.

Are you kidding me? If this is indeed true and men are spraying their semen all over the locker room, I certainly don't have any interest at all at being a member. By claiming they are "There to clean" you're basically suggesting you're OK with this sort of behavior at a public gym? Are you insane? If the janitor at a porn theater complains, fine, I get your point, but at a gym? Sweaty towels are one thing. Semen is a totally different story. No one, janitor or member, should have to deal with that type of shit. No one.

I go to equinox, it's $150 a month...so we should be able to do anything we want hehe, j/k...haven't really seen anything as mentioned by the janitors aside from used towels in the locker and steam rooms, which is acceptable
