Tim N., one small note, perhaps improvement, on your view. Neither Roody nor Bratton nor Maple really deserves the credit they'd each like to take for the drop in crime. The drop occurred nationally where they had nothing whatsoever to do with it and there was no federal effort either. The country's take on crime had shifted as they were coming into power. Today we have Kelly and Bloomberg riding the same coattails. Thanks for your comments.

No one has extracted every last fucking drop of victim's blood out of Ground Zero like Rudy Giuliani, the 9/11 Whore. He was a tired, failed mayor who had outlived his usefullness and whose own city had turned its collective back on him until the attacks, and in the five years since he has milked those horrendous attacks dry. He tried to use the attacks to rewrite the city charter so he could stay in office until he decided he was damn good and ready to leave, he has shamelessly promoted his own role in the aftermath of the attacks over the heroic efforts of others, and he has refused to accept any blame for the atmosphere of non-cooperation that existed between the FDNY and NYPD prior to the eleventh, which may have resulted in God-knows how many deaths. The city was attacked for one day and he compares himself to Churchill, whose city, and nation, was attacked relentlessy for OVER A YEAR. And when anyone tries to point out what a complete and utter phony he is, they risk being labeled a traitor, a felon, or a fool. He has no shame, no morals, no decency; only a blind, perverse, insatiable, twisted ambition that sees only enemies under every bed. Sorry to go nuclear on you, hmmmm?, but I guess you could say it's a thing with me. I actually have the same positions as the Whore on gay rights, choice, and gun control, and one cannot deny the drop in crime that took place during his first term, though Bill Bratton and Jack Maple really deserve the credit for that. IMHO, no one in America has done less to deserve their accolades the Rudy Giuliani, and I include our bumbler-in-chief in that company as well.

It amazes me that the 9/11 Whore really thinks that politics would get cleaner on the national level. Maybe he's not a bright as we all thought... then again, did we ever think he was that bright? I love how now it's a conspiracy theory. Rudy, you hired a boob and it bit you. Deal with it. It's not a case of the whole world is against you because you and only you have all the answers to the problems of the world, and only a total idiot would not blindly follow you. Or apparently, work for you.

remember when Giuliani was cool and coldhearted? He was a pretty good mayor and looked stern and authoritative. Now, he looks like a sleazeball greasy politician with that cheshire grin he always has. It creeps me out.
