Dona Searching for a New Home

2007_01_food_donapic.jpgGothamist received some very distressing news in our inbox moments ago -- it appears that Dona is closing. The building in which Dona is currently located is being sold to a real estate developer and Donatella Arpaia is actively searching for a new spot in which to showcase Chef Michael Psilakis' cooking.

Dona received two stars from the Times and has been regarded by many critics as one of the best newcomers of 2006, with Michael Psilakis acheiving recognition as one of the best up and coming chefs. In addition, Bon Appetit and New York Magazine highlighted the truffled gnudi as one of the best dishes of the year. If anyone can help them out with a new space, let us know -- we might go into truffled gnudi withdrawal if they can't find anything soon!
