Thanks for the mention about theNew York City Transit Authority Graphics Standards Manual (1970) photos, but the font is actually called Standard Medium which is very much like Akzidenz Grotesk not Helvetica. They are in the same ballpark, though.
Now that Democrat's have regained congress, the Republicans are putting on their entertainment rounds, to win back the American public.
