Tower Records in Japan is still up and running, however, CDs here are terribly expensive ($25 and up).

This is a Double Whammy for the Upper West Side as the Blockbluster on Amsterdam/69th closed last week. It's slim pickings for DVD/Video Rental options in the Lincoln Center Area...

I bought some great music over the years at the Tower down by NYU, including my fave U2 disc, Achtung Baby. And once, while I walking on the UES with a bright yellow Tower bag, comic Richard Lewis stopped me and asked where they had moved their store to (this was in '96 when they had moved up around 72nd & B'way temporarily due to construction). Thanks for the music and memories, Tower, I'll miss ya.
