Yeah, we work with the HSUS and I have to process and post these videos online. Honestly, I'm usually in tears or nauseated at the end of the day's job. Awful awful awful.

I wish I had the stomach to educate people with these kinds of videos... but I can't watch them. Just the idea of what might be on there (from others' comments) will haunt me for days. :( I'm glad you posted about this, Jen. Use of fur is an absolutely disgusting practice of animal cruelty.

I want a racoon dog, as cute as a racoon, but no rabies and it should be more friendly to humans. The video needs a much more serious warning, not "skinned alive" but "alive after skining". I just vomited after that video. Is it too much to ask for 1 sec taking a hammer to the racoon dog's head?

Ok, the disclaimer for the video says "pretty disturbing" I have to say that warning is nowhere near strong enough for the anxiety inducing, gag reflex triggering 3 minutes of nausea that the video really is. And yes, i want a raccon dog, too.

If you look at the link at other brands the Humane Society has investigated, you'll see that coats sold at Macy's, JC Penney,and Burlington Coat Factory by designers like MaxMara, Calvin Klein and Michael Kors also had real fur though their labels claim they are faux fur. And raccoon dogs are pretty cute.
