Giants-Saints Preview

The Giants now face the daunting prospect of having to win their final two games and still possibly missing the playoffs. If Philadelphia wins this week over Dallas and Atlanta wins both of their remaining games, the Giants would miss the playoffs based on tiebreakers. Then again, the Giants could lose both games and make the playoffs too.

None of that matters much for this Sunday when New York faces a Saints team that will be plenty angry after losing what should have been an easy game against Washington last week. Former Giant coordinator, Sean Payton, has done a great job in his first year in New Orleans and Drew Brees is the best quarterback in the league right now. Add in the explosive Reggie Bush and you have an offense that is very hard to stop.

Even when they had a healthy defense, the Giants had a suspect secondary. Michael Strahan may play in this game, but he won’t be enough to stop Brees from picking the Giants apart. The New York offense should put some points on the board, but in the end it won’t be enough.
