Car Crash Caused By Make-Up Application

2006_12_makeup.gifA woman driving on the Henry Hudson Parkway died after a crash near the Moshulu Parkway. Police believe that 34 year old Lusaed Perez lost control of the car as she was putting on her makeup. A police source said, "There was makeup all over the air bag," plus there were open containers of makeup in the car. The Post says Perez's Mitsubishi "careened across an embankment, smashed into a lamppost then crashed into two trees."

Witnesses also said they saw her putting on makeup, but her friend told the Daily News, "She doesn't even really wear makeup. Just when she goes to church, or for a special occasion."

This story just reeks of stupidity.

This is what happens when you allow women to drive.

"She doesn't even really wear makeup. Just when she goes to church, or for a special occasion."

Yeah, like her funeral. Seriously, all joking aside, thank God she only killed herself. Thankfully she's out of the gene pool now.

Our beloved commenter pool is especially compassionate and charitable today! Anyone else care to add to the joyful condemnation of this dead person?

Good point, Yf. I'm comforted to know that I share the road with these commenters who have clearly never had a moment's lapse in judgment in their entire lives. Must be nice for them.

Ooh! Ooh Let me!!

I agree with Rufus - thank God she only killed herself. Imagine if she mowed down a group of schoolchildren because she couldn't be bothered to put her makeup on at home. I'm sure she'll look really pretty in her casket.

If she hit a black person, we'd have to march on the cosmetics district.

this woman was my coworkers' friend. Please don't make light of it...we've all made bad decisions when driving( ie talking on the phone, blasting the radio or other distractions).

Regardless of how it happened, My condolences to the family.

This is what happens when people forget that driving is an activity that easily endangers lives both inside and outside of the car if you're not paying attention. The standards that American drivers have to meet to get a license are ludicrously low. The enforcement that comes after they get the licenses is damn near nonexistent.

I saw a woman coming off an offramp a couple of weeks ago. Did five things wrong in 30 seconds. She tried to make an illegal U-turn off the ramp so she wouldn't have to go around the block to turn around. Turned too tightly so she was suddenly driving the wrong way on the lane she was originally supposed to merge with. Drove back over the wedge median onto the ramp -- now facing the wrong way there, too. Backed up slightly, changed direction and came back down the end of the ramp. And as she passed, I could see she had a cell phone glued to her ear and was laughing as if she was saying, "Oh, silly me! I just made a boo boo." It's not funny, you stupid bitch! She's just lucky there weren't any other cars coming at the time.

Her death is tragic, no doubt about that. But how fucking stupid can you be? Seriously. At least talking on a cell phone you can still keep your eyes on the road. Putting on your make up requires you to stare at nothing but yourself in the mirror. Take the right to drive away from women until the prove they deserve it.

Please, do not look for sympathy on this blog. And as others have mentioned thank GOD she didn't kill anyone else.

yeah, considering how precious life is that was just stupid!..but the comment about hitting a black person and the march is just as stupid and racist!..a father, brother, and son was killed like a animal and you dare make lite of that.
