Sorry Michael, I should have said LUXURY condos (and yes, there is too much of that). No one seems much interested in building/rebuilding what you describe, despite the overwhelming need. And on second thought, I wouldn't mind seeing more dens of sin... like affordable housing, they seem to be on the wane as well.

Anyone know if that building has landmark status? I would hate to see the facade changed. So glad those two horrible clubs perished. Worst nights ever!

Finally, the ultimate Church for what has become The City of Perpetual Shopping! They can turn the upstairs chapel into a dedicated Shrine to Sweatshops. Madonna can show up for the ribbon cutting in her new fur coat that she's so proud of nowadays. Then she can do a "surprise" performance! Everyone sing the praises of her new H & M clothing line! (And her adopted son is spared the possibility of working in an Africa-based sweatshop. Hallelujah, it's a miracle!) All Hail H & M!
