The Post reports that Purple Haze sold for $560 an ounce and got its name from buds with a purple stain; it also "contains highly elevated levels of THC." That must be some crazy toke. Orlando Torres, who operated the ring in upper Manhattan, was arrested.

$560 an ounce is not that much. There are 28 grams in an ounce and people routinely pay $50-60 for 2 grams in the city.

Purple haze is so much cheaper in California. It goes for 320 to about 400 for some pretty quality shit.

if there is a bust for purple haze, just maybe i'd like to know. why some areas are dry or stuck with only sour diesel like a couple months ago. go back to smoking oregano or huffing markers/paint taylor.
there's always northern lights and whatnot. cush is pretty good, considered the cream of the crop to some people. $600 - $700 i heard for an oz. onwards i say, the holiday season won't fail on the consumers.

As for downtown, I would just be careful... the village is full of cops and shady people, where as uptown if you can convince them you're not a cop it's pretty easy to get haze... also you really shouldn't pay more than $400 for an ounce of haze. Sour Diesel may run you a bit more.
The upper west side has some spots, but you will not find good haze because harlem/uws isn't run by Dominicans. XD
108th & Manhattan has weed and if you continue up Manhattan there are some weed spots, but the north-west corner of 108/Manhattan ave. is one I know better. ;) ... not good weed though.
-note for ppl in nj or coming by car: be careful. NYPD targets drivers entering/leaving Washington Heights via the GWB and they keep track of how long you spend in the neighborhood. Best bet is to have a good system, perhaps even parking your car in Fort Lee and taking a NJ Transit bus over the bridge.

everyone knows haze is the best but if you pay more than $400 then you are a fucking idiot. If you think haze is too strong for you then you're a pussy and you shouldn't even be smoking trees. I smoke strictly haze everyday and I'd rather smoke a newport then trees that aren't exotic but no weed out there is as good as haze cause no weed makes you cough like haze. and i've been to amsterdam and i've smoked the sour, the northern, white widow and rhino...

Aaah man I would love to get my hands on some of that stuff. Even with the "samples" i get sent, I don't have any hope of hitting the legendary Purple Haze, if it's still available. Apparently NYC Diesel is a descendant, and there are a few others out there.
