- Anthony in a TKO over Collins: Will this one be part of the “50 Greatest Moments?” The Knicks showed some life; unfortunately it was in a brawl at the end of their 123-100 loss to Denver. While this brawl didn’t quite have the pageantry of Jeff Van Gundy hanging onto Alonzo Mourning’s leg, it did have some very good slaps. One thing is for sure; Carmelo Anthony will probably get a long vacation when David Stern sees the “highlights” of this game.
- Toronto 9 Rangers 2: New York tried to live up to the Knicks’ example and fought, but they were no match for the Maple Leafs. Toronto further humiliated MSG ownership with a ridiculous win over the Rangers.
- Detroit 90 Nets 82: Jason Kidd and Vince Carter were rejected in crunch time as the Pistons came up with the victory.
- Detroit 2 Devils 1: The Red Wings started off the “Motown sweep in the swamp” with their first win in New Jersey in 13 years.
- New York 6 Atlanta 0: The Islanders prevented the locals from going winless. Rick DiPietro had 37 saves and five different Islanders had an assist and a goal in the win.

"New York tried to live up to the Knicks’ example and fought"? What does that mean? There was *one* fight in the Ranger game.
Isiah's comments after the game shows you just how out of it he is. He's worried about who's playing in the final minutes on the other team and talking about conceeding the game? He should be worried about the disgrace he has created with his own team. The fact that he still has his job can only mean that he has naked pics of Dolan with an intern.
knicks are a bunch of thugs
Certainly this is painting with a wide brush, but many professinal athelets are thugs - as are wealthy business people. Hand someone $50 million and it's amazing the ego and sense of entitlement it can generate.
I love watching millionaires trying to lead da thug life. Lame. Where's Omar from The Wire when you need him?
is it really a 'punishment' to bench any of the knicks players at this point? fine them $$$ yes, but making them play for the knicks is probably the worst thing you can do to a player. if you really want to punish the knicks, make them extend Isaiah's contract.
