Tony Shalhoub and Patricia Heaton both played a role in one episode of &quot;Spenser For Hire&quot; and &quot;Alien Nation&quot;, respectively, decades before becoming famous as stars in their own shows.  While cleverness is nothing to scoff at, in a brief toss-off reference such as above where people might use it as a cue to remember who those actors are, it&apos;s about too clever by half.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
