MUSIC: Tonight is the first night (of four) that Lou Reed will perform Berlin at St Ann's Warehouse. Expect a "theatrically realized concert version of Reed’s stylized rock paean to life outside the circle, the orchestrations filled with the lyrics of the broken hearted and willfully disabled...the drifting tormented addicts of love formalizing their own downfalls in the outskirts of the divided city."

7pm // St Ann's Warehouse [38 Water Street] // $65

THEATER: Prolific playwright (and Beastie Boy daddy) Israel Horovitz has revived his Lebensraum, a comic-drama based on the premise that a German chancellor might, as an act of redemption, invite six millions Jews to relocate in Germany, with promises of citizenship and employment. The title comes from the German word meaning "living room," which was the Nazi rubric that justified expansion of the German homeland. Three actors play over 80 characters in the production; the cast features Richard Foreman veteran T. Ryder Smith. - John Del Signore

8pm // Kirk Theater [410 West 42nd Street] // Tickets cost just $15 through December 30th if you use code NYTV when ordering online

2006_12_arts_humanityy.jpgBENEFIT: Artists have donated their artwork for tonight's benefit - in which the raffle proceeds will go towards Habitat for Humanity. You can buy raffle tickets by contacting the gallery, if you can't make it. Here is the artwork you might win! One piece is pictured at left.

9pm // Aidan Savoy Gallery [175 Stanton St] // $10 raffle tickets

COMEDY: The Most Eligible Comedians show is tonight, and it's way more than just a comedy show. The comedians actually want to date YOU. So after the show, host Calvin S. Cato plays cupid and sets y'all up with some funny guys/gals. They do say that comedians are the new musician. So get 'em while they're hot.

8:30pm // East Village Lounge [186 E 2nd St] // Free
