While you're checking out new restaurants, you should check out http://www.diningfever.com They are regularly updated with awesome deals and discounts for dining out in NYC. Currently they are featuring deals at Delmonico's Roy's and Arte Cafe!

Marginally related (because Eater posted about it yesterday), it's a big loss that Sazerac House (which was open for about 40 years) has closed. It was one of the few great, reasonably-priced, unpretentious spots in the West Village where you could sit and linger over coffee and conversation. Also, there was great people-watching from the covered porch dining area at the front.
