Last Night's Action: Knicks Can't Recover

2006_04_sknickslogo.jpg-Boston 97 New York 90: The Knicks dug themselves a seemingly insurmountable hole in the third quarter, yet almost escaped. Down 30 points, New York staged a furious comeback and had two possessions in the last minute of the game down only by three, but they couldn’t get the job done.

Eddy Curry had another great game, scoring 30 points and David Lee added 14 points and 13 rebounds, but the Knicks defense was what ultimately betrayed them allowing Boston to shoot 48% from the field. Ironically, the game marked the debut for Jared Jeffries, the player the Knicks acquired to improve their defense.

-Nets 105 Memphis 92: Vince Carter put on a show, scoring 37 points, including nine three pointers and Jason Kidd dished out 13 assists in the victory. The win keeps New Jersey atop the pathetic Atlantic Division.
