Teen Dies While Elevator Surfing

A teenage boy was found dead in an elevator shaft in Brooklyn yesterday. Now authorities believe that 18 year old Jonathan Figueroa died while elevator surfing. Neighbors said Figueroa regularly rode on top of the car, but the police are looking into whether his death was accident, suicide or murder.

His body may have been in the shaft for 2-3 days. Figueroa's grandmother told the NY Times, "I didn't see him for the whole week. He was supposed to be in school." The teen had recently moved to Pennsylvania, but visited friends and family in New York often. One friend told the Daily News, "But lately I noticed he was going through some hard times with his family living in Pennsylvania...He missed being in New York."

Bless the Family of Jonathan Figueroa/Gay Jonathan was an excellent student at Juan Morel Campos. Very self motivated and had the capabilities to be very successful. I worked with Jonathan and he will be missed. Let us know about the wake/funeral There's no need for insensitive comments Darwin. The facts have not been revealed
