draft: 28 feet 7 inches : relates to the depth that a ship or boat is under water. From the waterline/ surface of the water, to the bottom of the ship. May help explain why poor ol Intrepid was stuck in the mudd so bad....I dought the east river is more then 28 feet deep where she was docked....

at about 11:00am, the intrepid had just past the world financial center. but a few minutes later, i saw it double back (not sure if it was the bow or stern) and then proceed forward again. my assumption is it got stuck, was pulled back, and went forward again but with a slight diversion. just looked out the window and i'm not sure where the ship is now.
