The Giants spent the week fighting each other, fighting reporters, and riling up the Cowboys. In short, they have done nothing to convince anyone that their loss in Tennessee is behind them.
That’s terrible because this game is the biggest of the season and probably their last chance to save their shot at the playoffs. If they win on Sunday, they would be back into a tie for first with the tiebreaker in hand over the Cowboys. If they lose, they fall to 6-6 and their season could very well spiral out of control.
The Giants should be boosted by the possible returns of Umenyiora, Short and Madison, fortifying their depleted defense. However, Dallas is on a hot streak, having won three-straight and looking like a different team since Tony Romo took over at quarterback. Too many distractions and too many injuries add up to a loss for the Giants on Sunday.

HOW BOUT DEM COWBOYS!!!
Giants will win this game. Even though after the circus of last week, a victory would put them in first place, leading the division. That is what they will and should focus on.
Conventional wisdom says the Boys will roll. But whenever you play at home, with a game on the line, and you have something else to motivate you (like a media scandal, or everyone doubting your team), it changes the outlook. This is not an ordinary game. The Giant's season is on the line, they royally f'ed up last week, and everyone’s been reminding them every day of this past week.
Conventional wisdom is often wrong when it comes to a league as rife with parity as the NFL. One thing's for sure - I'm looking forward to this one.
I said it before, and I'll say it again:
HOW BOUT DEM COWBOYS!!!
