You know, when I first read this story I was so ticked off I wanted to go strangle the guy myself. But the more I think about it, the more I'm wondering if they can rig up those lights-and-sirens sets for Subarus. BTW, Scott Weinberger is also an ex-cop. Cops use their sirens and lights for non-emergencies all the time. I'm glad Heschel was found out but now they should put there attention to cops stopping traffic as they TRY to manuever into parking spaces, run red lights at a snail's pace (no emergency there) and park in bus stops when ample "police cars only" parking is available all around.

A bris involves both the act of circumcision and a set of prayers and rituals. While abbis don't perform the actual circumcision, unless they are also a mohel, rabbis can officiate at a bris in a ceremonial capacity, so the headline isn't so far off, even if the intended joke is. Give Jen a break.

Nice story! My latest obsession is with cops & ambulances who get onto very crowded highways (BQE, FDR, etc.) and use their lights and sirens. My theory - they just push traffic around and make chaos, and they would get there faster by chilling out and driving normally.
