Broadway Meets Reality Television

Grease: You're the One That I Want is the latest reality show to hit NBC. Apparently "the three most important people on Broadway" held an open casting call for their Broadway production of "Grease", which will hit the stage in June of 2007. They filmed the auditions, and voila, instant reality show!

The last production of "Grease" on Broadway was in 1994. This next one will star two performers (to play Danny and Sandy) who will be picked by the viewers of the tv show, American Idol style.

You can watch the preview of the tv show here, it airs in January. We're sure there will be LOTS of audition reels of the above song, "You're the One That I Want". Tickets for the actual production will go on sale in December.
