Last Night's Action: The Knicks Win In Boston

2006_04_sknickslogo.jpg-Knicks 101 Boston 77: It’s hard to believe that this used to be a great rivalry. Two once-proud franchises that are now the laughingstocks of the NBA took the floor in Boston last night and the Knicks came away with an easy victory. Eddy Curry had a great game, but it is important to remember that he wasn’t playing against a center of note. David Lee provided a huge spark again off the bench, grabbing 13 rebounds and dishing 8 assists to go along with 11 points.

-Phoenix 99 Nets 9: Vince Carter had 23 points, but Amare Stoudamire and Steve Nash combined for 51 as Phoenix survived a big Nets' comeback for the win.

-Islanders 3 Pittsburgh 1: The Islanders pulled into a three-way tie for first place with the Devils and Rangers with a win over Pittsburgh. Miroslav Satan had a goal and an assist while Rick DiPietro stopped 36 shots.

-Ducks 4 Devils 2: Scott Niedermayer returned to New Jersey and contributed an assist in his homecoming. Todd Marchant’s short-handed goal midway through the third period was the difference as Jean-Sebastien Giguere stopped 22 shots for the win.
