corner bistro is so overrated. i thinkt he best burger in the city is burger joint at le parker meridien.

and on the matter of THIS fucking place. 15 DOLLARS FOR A COMBO? i hate to be the typical west-coast transplant, but a combo at in and out will cost you 5.50 and they use top notch ingredients.

Why are people comparing burgers to shake shack? Corner Bistro beats in taste and price, still less than $10 including the fries and beer!

I ate there a couple weeks ago, it was very very disapointing. The burger is small, the bun is your run of the mill McDonald's-esque piece of fluffy poop. I did not try the fries and shake because they were so overpriced I almost walked out and didnt even buy the burger. There are so many other options for burgers that are better than just "good" and are cheaper, made with higher quality ingredients, I don't understand how these guys will survive. Other than the hype and the shiny new restaurant, these guys have nothing.

Shake Shack has the edge on the burgers (tastier meat, fresher veggies) but Good Burger's fries are tastier. That said, their cheese fries cost a fortune and I like the soggy mass that is Shake Shack's cheese fries. Also, you can get a Double Shack and cheese fries for $9 and the equivalent meal at Good Burger would set you back about $14. I go to Good Burger because it's close to my office and it is a good burger, better than most. But I prefer Shake Shack.

Adam,
Goodburger is indigestion-inducing. It does not compare favorable to Shake Shack at all.

I refuse to eat anywhere that sells fries separately. God, I hate that.

If I want a burger, and fries with a milkshake, I know not to go this place ! $15.50 ?????? They are gassed if they think I'm paying all that for something that just going to go for a ride through my system and out the lower hole down the drain !

Hmm. Their prices seem to have gone up....

I remember over the summer that it was entirely possible to eat a good meal at Goodburger for around $!0.

Considering that it's NYC, and that their ingredients are obviously of a higher grade than what you'd find at a typical fast food joint, I think the price is readily justified. They *are* good burgers after all.

That said, it certainly isn't the healthiest stuff around.

You gotta be kidding. You can get the same meal at Reid's, in Lockport, Ny, for about 1/3 the price. You people in NYC are nuts to pay those kinds of prices for a burger, fries and a shake.

Although...that shake did look good. But, I'm not going to give into temptation as after yesterday, I have to be good.

Looks good, but like anything in NY, it comes with an indigestable price tag.
